Dowfrost™ inhibited propylene glycol heat transfer fluids provide years of reliable corrosion protection in demanding applications, such as fermentation cooling, immersion freezing, HVAC, food, and pharmaceutical applications, where propylene glycol solutions are preferred or required. Compliant with the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) and Food and Drug Administration (FDA) regulations, it is ideal for applications where contact with food or beverage could occur.
These specially formulated industrial inhibitor packages are designed to prevent corrosion and are widely used for closed-loop, water-based HVAC, process heating and cooling, and food industry applications. They are manufactured with DOW PuraGuard Propylene Glycol USP/EP, a pharmaceutical grade of monopropylene with specified purity greater than 99.8%. The inhibitors are easily maintained, long-lasting and replenishable, which means intervals between fluid change-outs are extended and fluid expense is minimized.
Heat Transfer Fluids from Dow are fluids designed to help meet demanding system performance, protection, and safety requirements. They include technologies optimized for applications ranging from geothermal heat pumps and other water-based systems to food and beverage processing; and from pharmaceutical and polymer processing to Concentrating Solar Power (CSP) generation.
